What personal data do we collect?

We collect personal data about you to manage the customer relationship you have with us. Personal details that we collect about you may include all or only some of the following:

  • your name
  • your contact telephone numbers – landline and/or mobile
  • your e-mail address
  • your home address
  • the address where your caravan is stored


We collect this information from you either by e-mail or telephone when you initially contact us to request a service or repair.


Why we collect this information and the legal basis for handling your data

We use personal data about you to fulfil the customer contract we have entered with you. This includes using your data to:

  • attend the location of your caravan to complete the service and/or repair
  • contact you on the day we are carrying out the work if we encounter any problems
  • provide you with a copy of our Invoice for the works carried out
  • provide you with a copy of the Service Schedule/Damp Report


We also process your personal data in line with our legitimate interest for the following reasons:

  • maintain accurate records, including emergency contact details
  • maintain a complete service/repair record of your caravan to assist in carrying out future work


Who we share your data with

We do not share your date with any other professional body, person or organisation.


We may share your data if we need to do so:

  • to enforce or apply the terms and conditions of your contract with us


We will never share your data with any other organisation to use for their own purposes.


How do we protect your data?

We protect unauthorised access to your personal data and prevent it from being lost, accidentally destroyed, misused, or disclosed by:

Keeping paper records in a locked filing cabinet, keeping any digital records on computers secured by passwords. Keeping e-mail and telephone number records on mobile devices secured by pin numbers.


How long do we retain your data?

We retain your personal data as follows:

  • service/repair records until 3 years after the date we last serviced/repaired your caravan
  • invoice records in accordance with HMRC requirements


Automated decision-making

We do not make any decisions about you based solely on automated decision-making.


Your rights with respect to your data

You have the right to:

  • request access, amend or correct your personal data
  • request that we delete or stop processing your personal data, for example where the data is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing
  • request that we transfer your personal data to another person
